What shoes do we have most of in Rooms 11 and 12?

We have read a book called 'Whoose Shoes'. It was about sorting lots of different shoes that got mixed up. Today we mixed up our shoes and sorted them by how they look. We had shoes with laces, buckles, velcro and slip ons.  We lined them up and compared the shoes. The questions were asked: What shoes do we have most of? and What shoes do we have least of? After much discussion, counting, sorting and comparisons, we made a class pictograph to record our findings.

Writing/Art: Where is Green Sheep?

We listened to a story called Where is the green sheep?

After we listened to it we practiced writing our popwords (sightwords) 'here', 'is' and 'the'. We decided to write our own "Here is the green sheep." style sentence but using our own imagination. We drew sheeps just like the illustrator in the story and created our backgrounds using dye.

Here is our own class version of the book "Where is the green sheep?

Poem: Incy Wincy Spider

This week our poem was called Incy Wincy Spider.

We used our imagination to create spiders and insects out of playdough,  drew pictures of spiders, wrote spider stories and created some spider art.
